Nymph cage

The pet nymph cage must be spacious so that they can move properly inside. Not because it is a relatively small bird, but a small cage will suffice. Therefore, you should try to make it as wide as possible in its home with bars. As it is a very flying animal, you can let the nymph cockatoo fly the length and breadth of the house. However, you must wait until they have gotten used to your guidelines to train them. This is because they can try to flee through any nook and cranny.

Nymph Cockatoos Feeding

As for the feeding of pet nymph cockatoos, it is divided into the following methods:

  • Dry ration: based on feed and a mixture of seeds such as birdseed.
  • Fresh ration: can be divided into 80% vegetables and 20% low-sugar fruits. This is to ensure an optimal nutritional supply for this species. The pieces of fruit and vegetables must always be fresh to avoid parasites. They must be offered in small pieces and be well washed.

Reproduction of the Nymph Cockatoo

The pet nymph cockatoo can be provided with a small wooden cabin that is used to take maximum care of this process. Inside, you can place sawdust to accommodate the eggs that are going to be deposited.

It should be noted that nymph cockatoos, like the rest of their family, are monogamous. They can continue the rest of their lives with the same partner.

Egg-laying takes place between 10-14 days later and can last several days. Incubation can last up to 20 days. It is best if the laying of eggs is repeated a maximum of 3 times a year. It is advisable to wait until the first year of life of the pet nymph cockatoo for its reproduction, despite the fact that its sexual maturity reaches seven months.

How to train a pet nymph

You must bear in mind that processes such as training a pet nymph requires a lot of patience and time dedication to ensure that all those behaviors that you want it to acquire are understood and repeated correctly. Thus, the training of a nymph, like any of the pets that exist, can be achieved with a training time that will understand that you want to dedicate to the best care of the animal.
