Before buying a miniature or teacup pig, find out if it is legal to own one where you live. You don’t want to be outside the law.
Their Weight
Teacup pigs can weigh between 80-160 pounds(36-72 kilos). Be careful when buying one, because it must be from a specialized farm. Many sell small pigs that are like that only because they are poorly fed and sick.
Their parents
The size of the parents can determine the size of the offspring. You just have to see if the parents are already between 3-5 years old because if they haven’t arrived yet, they will continue to grow.

If a mini pig is well cared for, it can live 12-15 years.
Interior and exterior
Although you can keep your pig indoors, it is also important that you have an outdoor space so that it can enjoy the sun and do the things that all pigs like. The yard or garden should be fenced so that it does not escape.
They need to cool off
The teacup pig does not need a mud puddle to wallow, but it is good to have a small pool (child type) to cool off. They do not have sweat glands.

You can train a miniature pig to go to the bathroom wherever you tell it. It is a process in which you have to commit but that achieves good results. The mini pig is a very clean and odor pet. Can you believe it?
They are loving
For the mini pig-like cuddles, sleep in a bed, play with them, and be very spoiled. They are very good pets, but you must be firm.
You must be responsible for a Teacup Pig
If you decide on a mini pig, you should be able to satisfy all its needs, just like if you adopted a dog or cat.
Easy to train
The piggies are very easy to train, even better than dogs, and can obey all commands, as long as you train young.
Neuter or spay
Both males and females should be neutered or spayed as soon as possible. Otherwise, the male will begin to release an odor that will permeate throughout the house, and the female may contract diseases.
Do they get along with cats and dogs?
The mini pigs and cats often are great friends, but if you already have a dog, it is not advisable to bring home a little pig, because the dogs are their natural predators.
