Running an ant farm is relatively easy. Among the essential factors is, on the one hand, keeping the installation away from direct sunlight. The ants, when they are in the middle of nature, usually work under the ground so they never receive direct sunlight. Keep this in mind because it can affect the larvae! You have to place it in an area with medium temperature, neither river nor heat. 

Inexpensive Food

That is to say, they are not only easy to maintain but are among the companion animals –if we can consider them as such– that it costs less to have at home. Pet ants need protein, something that is supplied with other insects, with certain seeds or with protein syrups that can be purchased in specialized pet stores.

You can leave them at home without fear of your home.

This point is just to make you smile and think that ‘Why not?’. The truth is that it is so. Having pet ants is an original and fun idea. In addition, they are living beings that will not cause us discomfort. Silent, calm and they will never intrude in our lives. It is possible to go on a getaway for a few days and leave them alone at home without being afraid of what is happening in our absence.
