Tarantulas
It is probably surprising to see this type of pet spider as a companion animal. However, many arachnid fans love this species that has such a bad reputation. The tarantulas that you live with are not usually dangerous and do not attack or inflict any damage unless they feel threatened. It is essential to know how to manipulate them so that you do not hurt them or yourself. Likewise, it must be clear that they must be in optimal conditions of environment and temperature so that they are not crashed or especially nervous. It is recommended that several spiders are not kept in the same cage together. So, we do not want to witness a show that might not be pleasant at all.Â
Chick spider
Its scientific name is Grammostola Rosea and it is typical of Latin America, of countries such as Brazil, Chile, Argentina, or Paraguay. It is considered tame and inexpensive, which makes it one of the most interesting types of pet spiders. It can live in a low humidity range and its food can be based on 4-6 crickets every two weeks. This is a light brown spider, with sharp cover and coppery dorsal shield.Â
Spitting pet spider
It is considered totally harmless to humans. It is also known as the tiger spider and belongs to the Scytodidae family. They are shy and difficult to find. You will usually get them in door and window holes, both in rural and urban areas.Â
Ant spider
Stealthy and quiet, with eight legs and no antennae, it often goes unnoticed in anthills. This pet spider is introduced by keeping quiet, modifying its behavior and appearance. They are curious to observe. Therefore, if they have a terrarium or an anthill, they could consider having this species to see how it acts in society.
