Stay Calm. Your pet hamster WILL appear eventually.
In a lot of cases, it took many owners to find their pet hamster. Sometimes it can take a week or two weeks later. So, don’t give up. Try to remember where they were last time, and go look for them in that general area. Go on searches around your home if you need to. Look for areas with gaps or holes, maybe you’ll find them there huddled up.
Close them in.
As soon as you detect that it is not in its cage, it is best to close the room where you think it could be, usually where it has the cage, to see if it appears. Pet hamsters are nocturnal animals so they usually go out at night. This is a good time to listen to them and try to keep track of them. When everything is calm and in the most absolute stillness it is possible that they’ve gone out to do their own thing. To their night activities.
Use pet hamster treats as bait.
As the animal will be hungry, there will come a time when it will go out to look for its food. Take the opportunity to leave pipes around the house, in all the rooms, and sneak in some treats. Wait for night to fall, for the lights to be off and everything in absolute stillness. You will see how they come out of their hiding place to have a good portion of pipes, some nuts that they love. Another way is the next morning, to walk around the house and observe where the pipe shells are or where the pipes are missing. There, you might see your pet hamster!
Locate Possible Hiding Places and use the treats as bait.
Use the food or water tricks right in those corners and when the head pokes out… Go for it! Seriously, it will work for you. However, you must sharpen your wits to think where the pet hamster could have been sheltered.

If many days pass and it is still missing, it is likely that the pet hamster is somewhat faint, hungry, and thirsty. It may work for you to place the cage in the center of one of the rooms you are in and see how it will approach it to meet its most basic needs. It would only be missing that you were close to catching them red-handed.
